  1. Electronic scoring. Scoring for all events is done electronically through the GGID mobile app. Players may make revisions to scores after play is complete until the electronic scoring deadline is reached, which is 10 PM for Wednesday evening events, and 6 PM for Weekend Major events. Before making any revisions, a player must review and discuss the proposed revision with his playing companions and get a consensus of agreement that the proposed revision is accurate. Once the electronic scoring deadline is reached all scores are considered "returned" and players are not allowed to make any revisions.

  2. Posting of results. Official results will be posted as soon as practical after the electronic scoring deadline as been reached.

  3. Disputes. Disputes will be considered only if submitted within 24 hours of the first posting the official results on the website. A dispute must be submitted via e-mail or through the Contact Us page and include the following information:

  • Name of player
  • Event name and date
  • Posted result
  • Description of the dispute (please be as detailed as possible)
  1. Close of competition. The competition is considered "Closed" 24 hours after the first posting of official results and when all disputes are resolved.

No refunds will be made for cancellations within 24 hours of the start of the event.

No refunds will be made in cases where the member does not show up for the event.

If you need to cancel, you must contact the club secretary more than 24 hours in advance to cancel your entry and be eligible for a refund.

If you paid online your refund will be processed through our current payment system and refunded to the account you originally paid. It can take up to 5 - 10 business days for a refund to show up, but it typically happens sooner than that.

$3 from each member's yearly dues is dedicated to a Hole-in-One/Double Eagle Prize Pool. Members who score a Hole-in-One or Double Eagle at Bunker Hills must follow the procedures specified below to be eligible for a share of the prize pool.

  • Eligibility begins with the start of the official USGA golf season in Minnesota (Apr 1st) and concludes with the end of the USGA golf season in Minnesota (Oct 31st).
  • The Hole-In-One/Double Eagle must be accomplished at Bunker Hills Golf Course. The shot(s) must be played during a stipulated round (practice holes played either before or after a stipulated round are excluded) under the USGA Rules of Golf (i.e., conforming golf ball, club, etc.). In order for a double-eagle to be scored on a par 5 to qualify for this prize, both shots must be played by the same player in accordance with the Rules of Golf.
  • The shot(s) must be:
    • Witnessed by a men's club member during a one-ball round of golf
    • Made with equipment conforming to USGA regulations.

To be eligible to receive all or any portion of the Hole-In-One/Double Eagle Pool, a member must provide written notification to the BHMGC Board of Directors no later than two weeks after the Hole-In-One/Double Eagle was achieved. The notification must include the following information:

  • Member's name
  • Date
  • Hole number and course
  • Name of witness(es)

The fund will be shared equally should more than one member score a Hole-In-One/Double Eagle. Multiple Holes-In-One/Double Eagles by a single member shall count as separate shares for pool distribution.

In the event no Holes-In-One/Double Eagles are scored, one-half of the pool shall be donated to the Bunker Hills Scholarship Fund and one-half carried over to the following year's pool.

Proxy competitions are typically held for all BHMGC-sponsored events. All players entering an event are eligible for any Proxy competition being held. Proxy markers will be left on the applicable greens prior to the beginning of any event where proxy competitions are held. If no markers are present, proxies will not be awarded for that hole. Proxy prizes are awarded to the player whose first tee shot is: a) on the putting surface and b) closer to the hole (measured from the center of the ball to the nearest edge of the hole) than all other players who play that hole in the competition.

To determine if a shot is nearer the hole than the current proxy, players should use the method, which is most practical under the circumstances and avoid unduly delaying play. Players may enlist the assistance of others in their groups if necessary.

In order to claim the proxy, a player's ball must be clearly closer to the hole. If there is any doubt or it appears to be a tie, the player already having the proxy will retain it. There are no ties unless multiple players have a hole in one.

To be eligible for proxy prizes the player must:

  • Write his name and local number under the "Proxy" section of the card provided.
  • Place the proxy marker on the spot where the ball came to rest, or a spot equidistant from the hole to the spot where the ball came to rest.
  • The person that ends up with the closest shot to the hole will be awarded the proximity prize.

Eligibility to select gold/forward tees for all BHMGC league events must fall within the "Rule of 78." If your age plus handicap equals or is greater than 78, you are eligible to select those tees to play for the entire year. The determination is made one time at the beginning of the season or prior to your first event of the season. If the player falls below 78 during the season, he is still eligible to play the gold/forward tees. Regular reviews of handicaps will be conducted by the handicap committee to ensure handicaps are reflective of the golfer’s skill and ability.

Significant or large swings I handicap from a gold tee player will be addressed with the player to better understand the variances.

In order to be eligible to compete in either the Club Championship or Sr. Club Championship, a member must have played in at least three events. Events include Wednesday night events, weekend majors, match play, member-guest, and match play team competitions.

The exemption will be granted to the previous year's Sr. Club and Club Champions. The Board of Directors can exempt a member from the rule for valid reasons. The definition of a valid reason(s) will be determined by the Board of Directors.

The simple rule of thumb for when an event is canceled is, If the golf course is open, we play the event.

In more detail, we play in light to moderate rain, cold, heat, wind, and whatever else Minnesota mother nature throws at us. It's a good idea to be prepared for bad weather, and with luck, your preparation won't be necessary.

We do not play if there is dangerous weather in the area.

When rain and lightning hit on Wednesdays, if the entire field makes it through 7 holes, the event is considered official. Any holes not played due to dangerous weather will be scored with the "most likely score", which is net par. Skins will still be paid out.

If an event is canceled because of the weather, all payments will be refunded.

If you have paid for an MGA Adult Associate Membership at more than one Minnesota golf club and were issued the same GHIN number at each club, feel free to complete the form found on the MGA website to receive a rebate of $25.00 for each membership beyond your first one.

If you have any questions, please call the MGA's accounting department at (952) 345-3976 or (800) 642-4405 ext. 976.

To receive a multi-member rebate, the GHIN number should be the same at each club. Multi-member rebate checks are issued in December. Rebates cannot be used to credit other MGA club dues.
